From Westbahnhof to the stadium
You can take the underground line U3 directly at Westbahnhof and get off at the stop "Volkstheater" where you can take the underground line U2, which takes you directly to the stadium. You can also take the underground line U3 and get off at the stop "Schlachthausgasse" and walk to the stadium.
From Südbahnhof to the stadium
There is special signage at Südbahnhof that guides you to the underground line U1 and to the S-Bahn rapid transit. It only takes a few minutes by underground line U1 to get to the city centre or to the stop "Praterstern", where you can take the underground line U2 to directly get to the stadium. If you take the S-Bahn rapid transit you have to get off at the stop "Praterstern", where you take the underground line U2 or walk through the Prater park along a signed footpath.
From Praterstern (Nordbahnhof) to the stadium
You can either walk to the stadium (there is special signage that guides you there) or you take the underground line U2 that takes you to the stadium in just a few minutes.
Main access routes
There are four main access routes to the parking areas, which will be marked with temporary signage:
- Coming from the West via the Westautobahn motorway (A1) you can drive along the Wien river (Wiental) either via Grünbergstraße and Altmannsdorferstraße to Südosttangente (A23) or to the Gürtel road and then follow the Südosttangente (A23) to the stadium.
- Coming from the South via the Südautobahn (A2) you can follow the Südosttangente (A23) to Handelskai and from there to the stadium's parking lots.
- If you are coming from the East or from Vienna International Airport, follow the Ostautobahn (A4) to Südosttangente (A23) and from there to Handelskai and the stadium.
- From the North you can either take the Südosttangente (A23) to Handelskai or drive along Brünner Straße and the Donauuferautobahn (A22), across the Brigittenauer Brücke bridge and on to Handelskai. Alternatively, you can also take the Donauuferautobahn (A22) to Südosttangente (A23) and follow it to Handelskai and the stadium.
Bus, bike and taxi
- Secured parking areas will be available for cyclists as well.
- 350 bus parking spots at Hauptallee and Messe Süd
- Clear signage guides pedestrians from Praterstern and from the two bus parking areas to the Ernst-Happel-Stadion.
- Separate drop-off areas are reserved for taxis.
